Fall is here in most parts of the country – at least according to the coffee shops…So here’s a super fun and delicious Pumpkin Spice Crumble Recipe to bring everyone’s favorite flavor or fall into their own kitchens! This recipe is perfect for your holiday entertaining, but it’s not just for parties! Gather the kids in the kitchen on a lazy Sunday afternoon and work on this recipe together, then enjoy a delicious dessert after your big Sunday dinner!
Pumpkin Spice Crumble Recipe
- 1 box of spice cake mix, reserve 1 cup of cake mix for the crumble topping
- 1 egg
- 1/2 C. butter, melted
- 15 can of pumpkin
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 C. sugar
- 1/4 C. packed brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Crumble Topping Ingredients
- 1 C. of spice cake mix (reserved from above)
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1/4 C. butter, melted
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray an 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish with non-stick spray.
Combine the Crust Ingredients: spice cake mix, 1 egg and 1/2 cup of melted butter. Spread in the baking dish (see photo).
Combine the Filling Ingredients: canned pumpkin, 2 large eggs, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of packed brown sugar and cinnamon. Pour over the crust (see photo).
Combine the crumble topping ingredients: 1 cup of reserved spice cake mix, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of melted butter and cinnamon (see photo) and spread evenly over the top of the filling mixture (see photo).
Bake 40-45 minutes. Insert a toothpick around 35-40 minutes. If it comes out clean the crumble is done.
Allow to cool completely prior to cutting and serving. Best stored in the fridge as it will get soft if left out.
