Why I Love These Peeps Bird's Nest Cookies
I'm a big fan of holiday-themed recipes, and that doesn't stop with Christmas and Thanksgiving. I think any holiday is better with decorative treats, and these bird's next cookies let me do that with minimal effort.
These delicious little cookies only use a handful of ingredients, so they're as easy to shop for as they are to make.
I also love the contrasting flavors in these cookies. The base of almond bark-covered pretzel sticks makes a sweet and savory base that's amazing with the marshmallow Peeps and chocolate Easter eggs that I add to the top.

Peeps Bird's Nest Cookies FAQ
Bird's nest cookies are a sweet treat made with chocolate-coated pretzels or chow mein noodles to create a nest-like look. They are often topped with bird-themed decorations like chocolate egg candies.
Not really. They're not made with cookie dough, so they're more of a sweet confection than a cookie.
It's 100% safe. Contrary to its name, almond bark has no almonds or any nuts in it. It gets the name because it was developed as an alternative to chocolate for coating almonds.
I don't recommend using white chocolate in place of the almond bark. Almond bark is designed specifically for melting. While white chocolate is more forgiving than other chocolates when it comes to melting, it can still seize up if melted incorrectly. Almond bark won't.
