How To Make Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies
Grab your bowl and baking sheet! It's time to whip up a batch of healthy cookies!
Ingredients You Will Need To Make Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies
Here's a quick look at the ingredients you will use. All of the exact amounts are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post.
- Whole wheat flour
- Baking soda
- Salt
- Butter, softened
- Granulated sugar
- Brown sugar
- Egg
- Vanilla
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions For How To Make Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies
In a small bowl, mix together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
Add butter, sugar and brown sugar to a mixing bowl and beat well until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add egg and vanilla and beat well.
Add flour mixture and beat just until combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Using a 2 tablespoon portion scoop, scoop batter into rounds and place onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place dough, 2" apart on baking sheet and bake for 11-13 minutes or until browned.
Let stand on baking sheet for 2 minutes and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Repeat until all dough is baked, keeping dough in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
