I just LOVE the Easter holiday, what with all of the family, the traditions, the Easter Egg Hunt...and of course, that big Easter dinner that we all look forward to every year! My family just loves to gather around my parent's dinner table and enjoy holidays together. I am fairly certain this Easter Bunny Poop Cookies Recipe will be my and Angeline's main contribution to the Easter dinner dessert table this year!

My parents always provide the main course - for Easter it will be an Easter ham, complete with cherries and pineapple - and then the rest of the family brings all of the sides and desserts. While my mom really is the master baker in our family (you wouldn't believe how creative she is with decorating!), my sisters and I love to bring a dessert to family functions as well.

Isn't this Easter Bunny Poop Cookies Recipe just the cutest and most festive thing you've ever seen? You can even jazz it up with different colored sprinkles and candies, using whatever colored candies your little Easter bunny-loving heart desires! This recipe is also really fun for the kids, you can have them help unwrap the Hershey's chocolates, roll the little balls of dough into the sprinkles, etc.
It's a great way to spend time together as a family and you can enjoy the finished product together for dessert or a fun snack on the weekend!
You can find all of these fun little Easter candies in your local grocery store, mass market retailer (think Walmart and Target), usually in the baking aisle - BUT, during the Easter holiday season, most stores have end cap displays so that you can find them more easily.

Easter Bunny Poop Cookies Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 stick, ½ cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons milk
- colorful candy jimmies
- Hershey Hug Candies
Easter Bunny Poop Cookies Recipe Directions:
As with all recipes, you are going to preheat oven - this time, to 350 degrees. Unwrap approximately 30-36 candies. Discard the foils, of course. Go ahead and set them aside for a little bit later.
Next, you are going to add together your butter, sugar, egg and vanilla to a medium mixing bowl, or to the bowl of a stand mixer, and beat for about 2 minutes until it's light and fluffy.
Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add in the flour, salt and baking soda. Beat it well and then add in your milk. Then beat the dough a little more - just until it is blended well.
Use a tablespoon portion scoop to scoop dough into the palm of your hand.
If you don't have a scoop, you can use an actual tablespoon, it will just take a few extra seconds to shape it. Roll the dough into a ball and then roll the ball into the candy jimmies to evenly coat each one.
Place your rolled dough balls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. They should be spaced about 2 inches apart, as of course, they will spread during the baking process.
Bake your cookies for 8-10 minutes. Remove them from the oven and immediately top each one with the Hershey's candy.
Let your cookies set to cool for another few minutes on the baking sheet. Place them in the refrigerator so that the chocolate can firm up.
This Easter Bunny Poop Cookies Recipe makes about 36 cookies. The cookies aren't very large, so you can expect this to be about 12-15 servings if each person has 2-3 cookies.
