Once you try this Decadent Breakfast Scone Recipe, you will be baking these babies up in your own kitchen in no time! Until yours are done, I have breakfast covered. You bring the coffee and we are all set!
Directions for making this Decadent Breakfast Scone Recipe
Stir together, in a large bowl, the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in the butter so the batter resembles a coarse dough.
Chop the dried cherries into large pieces. Add the whipping cream, cherries, and chocolate chips into the bowl.
Stir until everything is incorporated. The mixture will seem dry and crumbly.
Pour the mixture out onto a clean counter top. Pat into a round shape.
Cut your dough into 8 wedges, just as if you were cutting a pie.
Lift each of the wedges and place onto a greased baking sheet.
Brush the tops of the scones with a bit more of the whipping cream.
Bake the scones at 450 degrees for 15 minutes or until the tops are browned. Serve with your favorite warm beverage!
Now that is what I like to call getting up and at 'em the right way! Really, I think that the only thing missing is someone to bring me breakfast in bed! Maybe I can train one of the dogs to carry me these pretty little scones on a tray?
Or maybe one day I will actually have a boyfriend? Or a butler. I think I'd prefer a butler at this point, to be honest. Hey, one can dream, right?
And this, my friends, is how you have a realllly Good Morning!
