    Chocolate Cherry Scones Recipe

Yes, that's right, you don't need to head to Starbucks or Panera Bread to indulge your taste buds in sweet, sweet scones on a pretty Saturday morning anymore. This is a fairly simple scones recipe that really packs a punch, both in flavor and presentation.

You could even bake this Sweet Scones Recipe up and deliver to a friend as a gift, or to a new neighbor as a housewarming present!

Can you just imagine how thrilled a new neighbor would be - or you would be if you were that new neighbor - if someone knocked on your door and handed you these beautiful Sweet Scones? What a beautiful, personal way to welcome someone into the neighborhood!

I get it. Most people really, really hate mornings. However, I think that I have a little something that will defiantly make them a little bit more tasty for you! My Decadent Breakfast Scone Recipe is without a doubt worth waking up for.

    Chocolate Cherry Scones Recipe

FOR REAL! You may even be so happy after chowing down on these sweet little scones that you become even MORE productive than you usually would...don't we all work just a little bit better when we are happy? I know that I sure do!

Think the ultimate sweet scones can only be found at your favorite high end coffee house? Well, it is time to think again, my friends!

Here are the ingredients you need to gather to get started making this Chocolate Cherry Scones Recipe

All Purpose White Flour, Granulated Sugar, Baking Powder, Salt, a nice unsalted Butter, and Whipping Cream.

Dried Cherries - make sure to select a variety that is full of flavor, like a Tart Cherry variety, but you can also use a Sweet Cherry variety.

Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips - I prefer to use a good quality chocolate for baking, like Nestle or Ghirardelli.

Keep in mind, all of the ingredient amounts you’ll need are in the printable recipe card below.

Cut your dough into 8 wedges, just as if you were cutting a pie.

Lift each of the wedges and place onto a greased baking sheet.

Brush the tops of the scones with a bit more of the whipping cream.

Bake the scones at 450 degrees for 15 minutes or until the tops are browned. Serve with your favorite warm beverage!

Now that is what I like to call getting up and at 'em the right way! Really, I think that the only thing missing is someone to bring me breakfast in bed! Maybe I can train one of the dogs to carry me these pretty little scones on a tray?

Or maybe one day I will actually have a boyfriend? Or a butler. I think I'd prefer a butler at this point, to be honest. Hey, one can dream, right?

And this, my friends, is how you have a realllly Good Morning!

Oh my! I don't know why I've always been nervous about making scones, but this looks so easy! I have everything but the cherries... hmm. Maybe extra chocolate chips? 😀

Scone addict here! I have all these ingredients in my pantry and so making these tomorrow for Easter. I am always looking for new scone recipes. Some I make and don't like their texture or it's the flavor that is off. Found you on Dare to Share Saturday link up party.
