My Chocolate Cherry Sweet Scones Recipe is without a doubt worth waking up for. FOR REAL! You may even be so happy after chowing down on these sweet little scones that you become even MORE productive than you usually would…don’t we all work just a little bit better when we are happy? I know that I sure do!

Once you try this Chocolate Cherry Sweet Scones Recipe, you will be baking these babies up in your own kitchen in no time!  Until yours are done, I’ve got breakfast. You bring the coffee?

Chocolate Cherry Sweet Scones Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups All Purpose White Flour
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Butter, softened slightly
  • 3/4 cup Whipping Cream
  • ¼ cup Dried Cherries
  • ¼ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips


Stir together, in a large bowl, the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter so the batter resembles a coarse dough.

Chop the dried cherries into large pieces. Add the whipping cream, cherries, and chocolate chips into the bowl. Stir until everything is incorporated. The mixture will seem dry and crumbly.

Pour the mixture out onto a clean counter top. Pat into a round shape.

Cut into 8 wedges like you are cutting a pie. Lift each of the wedges and place onto a greased baking sheet.

Brush the tops of the scones with a bit more whipping cream.

Bake the scones at 450 degrees for 15 minutes or until the tops are browned. Serve with your favorite warm beverage!

Now that is what I like to call getting up and at ’em the right way! Really, I think that the only thing missing is someone to bring me breakfast in bed! Maybe I can train one of the dogs to carry me these pretty little scones on a tray?

Or maybe one day I will actually have a boyfriend? Or a butler. I think I’d prefer a butler at this point, to be honest. Hey, one can dream, right?

    Oh my! I don’t know why I’ve always been nervous about making scones, but this looks so easy! I have everything but the cherries… hmm. Maybe extra chocolate chips? 😀

    Scone addict here! I have all these ingredients in my pantry and so making these tomorrow for Easter. I am always looking for new scone recipes. Some I make and don’t like their texture or it’s the flavor that is off. Found you on Dare to Share Saturday link up party.
