How to Choose The Right Potatoes for our Potato Cheese Sticks

When it comes to crafting the perfect Potato Cheese Sticks, choosing the right potatoes can make all the difference. For the coveted combo of crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior, you are going to want to use Russet or golden potatoes.

These potatoes have a high starch content, which translates to a light and fluffy texture when they are cooked. They result in Potato Cheese Sticks that are tender on the inside and perfectly crisp on the outside.

    If You Use Golden Potatoes

Golden potatoes, which you might know as as yellow potatoes, bring their own benefits to the mix. With their thin and delicate skin, they offer a smooth and buttery taste that really works well with the melted cheese!

    If you Prefer Russet Potatoes

Russet potatoes are often hailed as the king of potatoes because they are so versatile. They have a high starch content that relates to a fluffier texture and enhances the overall crispiness.

Here are all of the Ingredients that you will need to make our Potato Cheese Sticks

    • 1 lbs. potatoes (Russet or golden potatoes)
    • ½ cup corn starch
    • ½ cup shredded cheese
    • Salt, to taste

I used mozzarella cheese, but you can use any kind of cheese in our easy potato cheese recipe!

Place them on a plate with kitchen towel, so it will absorb most oil and serve term up while they are still hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
