    This Pumpkin Bread with Cream Cheese Frosting looks too good to eat. This homemade recipe is even better than anything you can get from the coffee shop.

    The hardest part of this bread is trying not to eat the entire loaf in one sitting. It melts in your mouth, with the thick cream cheese frosting lingering on your lips. Basically, it's a divine fall dessert.

    Cream Cheese Frosting Ingredients

    • Cream cheese, softened
    • Butter, softened
    • Vanilla
    • Powdered sugar
    • Half and half or milk

    Directions for how to make Pumpkin Dessert Bread

    First, you are going to preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and grease and flour a loaf pan, then set that aside for now.

    Next, in a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger. Mix these ingredients together well and set this aside. 

    Now, in a larger mixing bowl, add pumpkin puree, sugar, oil, water and eggs and mix well. Add flour mixture and mix just until combined.

    Then spread the pumpkin bread batter into your prepared loaf pan and bake it for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Make sure to let your pumpkin bread stand to cool completely before you begin to frost it!

    Beat together cream cheese, butter, vanilla and powdered sugar. Add half and half or milk if necessary to thin the icing a bit to spread easier. Spread on top of bread and slice to serve.

    • Pumpkin Bread Ingredients:
    • 1-¾ cup all purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
    • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
    • ¾ cup pumpkin puree
    • 1-½ cups granulated sugar
    • ½ cup vegetable oil
    • ⅓ cup water
    • 2 eggs

    • ½ brick 4 oz, cream cheese, softened

    • 2 cups powdered sugar
    • 1-3 Tablespoons half and half or milk
