if you don't like a crunchy bread or appetizer, don't place the oil-topped bread in the oven and toast for five minutes. Just omit this step and you will have a little softer appetizer.
Ingredients you need to make Savory Bacon Garlic Appetizers Recipe
- 1 loaf french bread, sliced in to 1" pieces
- ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup bacon, cooked, crumbled or chopped into pieces
- ¾ cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
- ½ cup black olives, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

Directions for how to make Savory Bacon Garlic Appetizers Recipe
In a bowl, mix together ¼ cup olive oil, bacon, Parmesan cheese, black olives, garlic and basil. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and place the loaf of french bread on a baking sheet. Lightly coat one side of the bread with olive oil. Bake for 5 minutes and remove from oven.
Top bread with topping and bake for 5-6 minutes or until heated through.
