Crock Pot Pork Tenderloin with Apples

Why you are going to love our Crock Pot Pork Tenderloin with Apples

I love trying new recipes in my slow cooker - well, I personally use the slow cooker function on my Ninja Foodi. But it is all the same thing, isn't it? If you are a big fan of pork chops and easy weeknight meals, this easy pork tenderloin recipe is for you!

Seriously, though, our crockpot pork tenderloin is the perfect recipe for those busy weeknights when you want a delicious meal!

This easy slow cooker recipe is a great way to serve up a main dish pork recipe without a lot of manual cooking time. This is one of my favorite crock pot recipes because you can get a cheap cut of meat at the grocery store and the end result is still a tender pork tenderloin!

With just a few simple ingredients, our pork tenderloin recipes will please even the picky eaters in your family!

If you are making this meal for a small family, you will have a bit of leftover pork roast to serve up for lunch the next day. We all know that those tangy flavors and little bit of sweetness tastes even better for lunch the next day!

This slow cooker pork roast recipe was inspired by my Slow Cooker Cuban Ropa Vieja Recipe that we recently shared, and it pairs well with this amazing garlic green beans side dish recipe.

Here are the ingredients that you need to make our Crock Pot Pork Roast with Apples Recipe

If you live in an area that actually has an apple season, I would recommend using whatever apples grow locally to you. However, you can use any apples for your apple-onion mixture.

I personally think that the best apples are sweet apples like Red Delicious, but any green apples will do, like granny smith apples.

I like a bit of tart flavor from my apples, but this recipe works regardless of which variety of apples you use. The most important part of achieving the great flavor in this Crock Pot Pork Tenderloin is the apple cider and apple cider vinegar and herbs.

Ingredients to make Crock Pot Pork Tenderloin with Apples

We recommend that you splash a little lemon juice on the sliced apples while you are getting everything ready. This will ensure that they do not turn brown and ugly looking.

    • sliced onions - Sweet onions or white onions
    • apples, cored and quartered - or you can use apple slices if you like
    • boneless pork loin roast
    • sea salt / kosher salt and black pepper
    • carrots
    • New potatoes or red potatoes
    • Garlic
    • Herbs such as thyme and parsley
    • Apple cider
    • Apple cider vinegar
    • Fresh ginger, peeled and minced
    • Ground ginger
    • Brown sugar

Please see the printable recipe card at the end of this bog post for the exact quantities of each ingredient.

Substitutions and Variations of this Crock Pot Pork Tenderloin with Apples Recipe

Let's talk about how we can switch this recipe up a bit! Of course, for the best results, we recommend that you follow our crock pot pork tenderloin with apples recipe exactly as is it.

    • Sweet Potatoes - If you want to omit the regular potatoes and use sweet potatoes, that is okay! It will still be a flavorful meal, but if you are a fan of sweet potatoes, you will like it.
    • Apple juice - if you do not have apple cider, you can use apple juice. This will not make a big difference in how much flavor you get.
    • Garlic powder - if you need to use garlic powder instead of fresh minced garlic, it is okay.
    • Toppings - You can drizzle a bit of balsamic vinegar on top, or serve it with a side of ground mustard.

How to Store and Serve Any Leftover Slow Cooker Pork Roast

If you have any leftover Crock Pot Pork Tenderloin with Apples, store them in the fridge in an airtight container.

Do you have any leftovers? One of my favorite things to do with leftover pork roast is to place it on a cutting board and slice it thin. Then you can top it with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, serve it up with a side of brussels sprouts, or make a sandwich!

You can use a nice whole grain mustard or Dijon mustard as a sandwich topping.
