What Is In The Red, White And Blue Cake?

There are two parts to this easy no-bake cake.

The base is made by finely chopping up vanilla sandwich cookies in a food processor. Then, the cake on top is made with mostly whipped topping, marshmallows, and milk.

You can decorate it however you want - that's the fun part!

I like to make this patriotic no-bake cake look festive with red, white, and blue candies on top.

First, add the sandwich cookies to a food processor and process for 10 seconds or until crumbly.

Add marshmallows and milk to a large, microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 60 seconds on high power.

    A bowl of mini marshmallows

Stir well and return to the microwave for an additional 60 seconds on high powder and stir until smooth.

    Adding milk to mini marshmallows

Let stand to cool (about 30 minutes), stirring occasionally until cool.

A bunch of red and blue sprinkles in a mixing bowl with whipped cream topping

    Spread on top of crust.

Top with M&M candies and sprinkles. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving. I

    Ingredient Swaps

You can swap out the golden/vanilla sandwich cookies for Oreos/chocolate, too. And feel free to use your favorite candies on top! You don't have to use M&Ms.

    Add M&Ms Last

If you put on the M&M candies the day before serving, they do bleed a little bit while they are refrigerated, but it is not the end of the world if you ask me!
