This decadent Red White and Blue Cookie Pizza is lined with freshly sliced sweet strawberries and yummy blue berries on top of a not too sweet frosting.
If you live in South Florida you can head over to one of our many delicious, fresh strawberry fields to get the juiciest berries straight from the farm. You can even hand pick them your self. It's fun for the kids too. Or better yet, if you have a back yard, why not try to even grow them yourself?
Then the blue berries for that bitter addition and then the smooth, creamy and a touch of sweet frosting, makes it such a great balance for a dessert.
Here's a hint, if you find blueberries on sale before you're ready to make this scrumptious Red White and Blue Cookie Pizza, throw them in the freezer to preserve them.
IF there are any leftovers, cover it, put it in the fridge and MY SECRET is to hide it on the very bottom shelf, way in the back of the refrigerator (behind all the fresh veggies your kids or husband won't want to really snack on in the middle of the night! The will never even notice it behind them).
So when I'm craving a sweet mid-night snack, you know the kids, husband or anyone else wont take it away from you!! It's YOUR treat to your self for making it. Come on, you know you deserve it.
Baker's Note: I did line my pizza pan with parchment paper because it has holes in it, if your pan does not have holes, parchment paper is not necessary. You can just grease it with some delicious butter.
