Fortunately, I have this super easy and fun Cake Mix Chocolate Chip Santa Cookies Recipe to make life a little bit easier when it comes to gift-giving.

It's a classic tradition for kids to leave cookies and milk for Santa Claus, but did you know that friends and family are also big fans of cookies? Duh! Of course they are! Spread joy and satisfy everyone's sweet tooth with this delightful treat!

Christmas is just a few short weeks away and if your house is anything like mine, life is CHAOS right now! Between the Christmas shopping, cookie swaps and decorating, I could use the help of a few elves right about now...

Once my family got so big that buying gifts for all of the adults got a little out of hand, we all decided that we'd concentrate on the kids and just bake treats like these easy Cake Mix Cookies For Christmas for the adults.

You see, I'm not the only baker in the family - we all love making sweet treats this time of year. It's always exciting opening the goody bags to see what my mom, sisters or auntie came up with.

Directions for making this Cake Mix Chocolate Chip Santa Cookies Recipe:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

While your oven is preheating, combine the white cake mix, egg whites, all purpose flour and vegetable oil, and make sure that you have mixed it all together really well.

Now, add in the ¾ cup of chocolate chips and the holiday sprinkles.

Make sure that you are mixing these add-ins by hand, as using an electric mixer will break things apart will kind of run the desired effect once they are baked.

Now you are going to scoop about a tablespoon's worth of cookie dough and then roll the cookie dough into 1-2" size balls and place each cookie dough ball 2-3" a part on your baking sheets.

Gently press down on the cookie dough balls - we don't want them to be completely flat, but don't leave them as a ball! They should be about ½ inch thick.

Now place a few extra chocolate chips and sprinkles on top of each cookie dough so that they bake up nice and pretty!

Place your baking sheet in the oven and bake these cake mix cookies for about 8-10 minutes.

TOP TIP FOR MAKING THESE CAKE MIX COOKIES

Do not over bake these cake mix cookies!

They do not turn golden brown because remember, we didn't use any brown sugar! They are going to look like they're not "done" because they are a light color. This is the intended result we are looking for!

Let your cookies sit for at least 2-3 minutes before removing them from the baking sheet!
