In the mood for pie? I’m always in the mood for pie, but having an entire pie in the fridge is not beneficial to my weight loss plan…that’s where this mini peach pies recipe comes in handy; each little peach pie is a single serving so that you can indulge without damaging your diet plan!

I recently received a few jars of pie filling (apple pie and peach pie) from Grandma Hoerner’s to review and I’ve been having a blast coming up with ways to use them. You can just pour the entire jar of Grandma Hoerner’s Peach Pie Filling into a pie crust and bake for a super easy pie…or you can get creative in the kitchen on a rainy Saturday afternoon like I did!

I’ve tried the apple pie filling and the peach pie filling so far, and I love them equally. I love apple pie, but peach pie is my favorite, so I was really excited to try this variety.

The Grandma Hoerner’s Peach Pie Filling is flavorful and full of ripe peaches, which made for tasty little pies. I can even see using it as a topping for oatmeal, or on top of vanilla ice cream!

Homemade Mini Peach Pies Recipe

Ingredients

1 jar Grandma Hoerner’s Peach Pie Filling

1 premade pie crust, rolled thin

1 mini muffin tin

Directions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Using a biscuit cutter or cookie cutter, cut your pie crust into small circles, just a tad bit bigger than the size of the mini muffin tin holes.

Place the pie crust into the muffin tin and add a teaspoon of Grandma Hoerner’s peach pie filling.

If you’re feeling fancy, add a lattice top to your mini peach pie, otherwise, leave as it for an open pie, or cut tiny shapes to lay on top of the filling, like so.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes, or until crust begins to turn light golden brown.

I do not use a glaze or egg wash on my pie crust (I try to keep it as simple as possible to avoid excess calories), so it will not turn the golden brown you’re used to seeing in pies. You can totally use a wash if you want!

Grandma Hoerner’s preserves, pie fillings, salsas, chutneys, BBQ and spices can be purchased online or at select locations – you can find out more about Grandma Hoerner’s line of products and where-to-buy information at GrandmaHoerners.com.
