    This Super Easy Caramel Apple Pie Recipe is oh so good, and while it is perfect for the fall, you will want to make these tasty scones year-round!

    How to Make this Super Easy Caramel Apple Pie Recipe

    Ingredients needed to make this Super Easy Caramel Apple Pie Recipe:

    • 1 single refrigerated pie crust
    • 8 cups apples, about 3lbs, cored, peeled and cut into chunks
    • 2 sticks,1 cup butter, cubed and divided
    • 1 cup brown sugar, divided
    • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all purpose flour, divided
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ½ cup finely chopped nuts (I used Ice Cream Nut Topping)

    Directions for making this Super Easy Caramel Apple Pie Recipe: 

    Unroll pie crust and place into a 9" pie plate. Flute the edges with your fingers. Set aside. Preheat oven to 375. 

    In a large saucepan, combine apples, 1 stick butter, cubed, ½ cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons all purpose flour, and cinnamon.

    Mix well.

    Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently until butter is melted. Reduce heat to low and cover. Cook  until apples are almost tender, about 12 minutes. Stir occasionally so sugar doesn't burn or stick.

    Remove from heat and pour into prepared crust.

    To make the topping, add 1 cup flour, ½ cup brown sugar, salt and mix well.

    Use a pastry cutter to cut in the remaining stick of butter until crumbly chunks remain.

    Stir in nuts.

    Sprinkle on top of pie filling.

    Bake for 35-40 minutes, checking around 25 minutes to be sure edges of the crust are not burning.

    If they are beginning to brown, cover with foil and return to oven for remaining cooking time. Bake until bubbly, center is hot and topping is golden brown.

    Remove from oven and cool completely or until just warm. Serve with caramel sauce drizzled on top.

      Hi! I baked this today, using Honeycrisp apples and walnuts. Followed your recipe and it turned out great! My husband really loves it. Will be using this recipe again. Really like the crumb topping instead of a double crust! We’re not really crust lovers. Thanks. Donna.
