It's not overly sweet, and it is perfectly light for all of your summer festivities, whether it be Memorial Day, the 4th of July or Labor Day - or just anytime you want a super special dessert for your barbecue or picnic!
I love the idea of making this cheesecake trifle all year long, and maybe switching out the sprinkles on top with a few other colors to make it friendly for different holidays.

What Is A Trifle?
A trifle is a layered dessert that is made with pound cake, whipped cream, and fruit. In order to show off all of the lovely trifle layers, it is made in a round trifle dish.
Some people make trifle with angel food cake or ladyfingers, but pound cake is what is most often used.
Why You'll Love This Patriotic Trifle
If you love classic recipes that remind you of your childhood, then you'll really like this recipe. It's even easier than your grandma's trifle recipe, because I used a pre-made pound cake.
All you have to do is chop up the cake and then take a few minutes to carefully arrange the layers. The layers are really what make this super simple trifle so impressive looking!
As they say, some people eat with their eyes!
This is the perfect dessert to bring to 4th of July or Memorial Day cookouts. It feeds a crowd and looks impressive, but is the easiest trifle you'll ever make.
Speaking of easy recipes, you can make angel food cake mix cookies and red, white, and blue icebox cake out of pre-made ingredients too.
