Fight Bullying by Donating to These 7 Anti-Bullying Nonprofits

Published: Jan 14, 2022 by Jennifer · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

According to the National Center for Educational Statistics research, approximately 20.2% of students have reported being bullied. The issue of bullying can have profound effects on students' mental health.

In response, celebrities and entrepreneurs have begun taking a stand against bullying.

You may have even considered doing your part to address this growing problem. If so, then you should think about donating to a reputable anti-bullying nonprofit, such as the seven organizations listed here:

    1.   Stomp Out Bullying

Stomp Out Bullying seeks to combat bullying by educating young people on what constitutes discrimination. They address issues such as racism and homophobia, as these trends often lead to physical or verbal bullying.

The organization also discusses what bullying is, how people can avoid committing these acts themselves, and how they can prevent others from participating in discrimination.

Stomp Out Bullying is a great nonprofit for donors that are concerned about youth awareness efforts. You can donate directly to the organization, follow their social media pages or volunteer.

    2.   No Bully

No Bully has worked with over a quarter-million students across the nation. They also have several global campaigns that are designed to stop the spread of bullying.

The founder of No Bully, Nicolas Carlisle, advised that he was a frequent target for harassment during his youth. The program specializes in providing anti-bullying education to school districts. They also train educators and leaders in the community to identify bullying so that they can proactively stop this type of behavior.

    3.   PACER

The PACER National Bullying Prevention Center was founded in 2006. Since that time, they have provided educators with anti-bullying materials and resources to help them identify concerning trends of harassment.

PACER also publishes resources for school-aged children, including the websites Teens Against Bullying and Kids Against Bullying.

PACER focuses on providing children with educational anti-bullying resources. They also increase the accessibility of anti-bullying materials for educators who distribute these resources to their students.

    4.   Tyler Clementi Foundation

The Tyler Clementi Foundation was founded after its namesake was the victim of bullying and homophobia. Tyler was an 18-year-old college student when he lost his life to suicide.

The Tyler Clementi Foundation invites supporters to register as “upstanders.” An upstander is an individual who has pledged to stand up for those being bullied.

Members of the foundation can also access a free toolkit. The site has several anti-bullying toolkits available. They have programs designed for community centers, sororities, places of worship, and more.

    5.   National Association of People Against Bullying

The National Association of People Against Bullying (NAPAB) is another nonprofit that provides schools and young people with easy access to anti-bullying resources. They also offer one on one services for victims of bullying.

The NAPAB’s “Cool 2 Be Kind” clubs can be found in schools throughout the nation. Students or educators can easily start these clubs using free resources from the NAPAB’s website. NAPAB is unique as it is one of the few anti-bullying organizations offering direct support services to victims.

    6.   Champions Against Bullying

Champions Against Bullying’s mission is to inspire youth to take action against bullying. They accomplish this by partnering with creatives, including writers, actors, and other notable individuals.

When joining the organization, star champions make a pledge to speak with children at their schools. They will share personal experiences, educate students on how they can take a stand against bullies, and provide them with other anti-bullying resources.

Champions Against Bullying relies on research-based strategies that are proven to help address the issue of bullying.

    7.   Generations Against Bullying

Also known as GAB, Generations Against Bullying leverages expertly crafted bullying prevention resources and programming. They have content designed for individuals of all ages.

The GAB is one of the most dynamic organizations on our list. They teach children how to become an anti-bullying ambassador, partner with celebrities, and encourage community involvement.

Investing in Generations Against Bullying is a great way of supporting an organization that creates memorable and engaging content for youth. The GAB believes that teaching children anti-bullying principles early is integral to ending discrimination and harassment.

Each of the organizations outlined above, including Generations Against Bullying, is working to mitigate the serious mental health consequences of bullying. By contributing to any one of these entities, you can help combat bullying.

It’s a serious problem everywhere in the nation, and with your help, we can work towards making it a thing of the past.
