    This Fall Snack Mix is a spin on Chex Mix, filled with Chex Corn Cereal, Cheerios, M&Ms candies and a honey peanut butter drizzle!

    But let me pop a question: How about whipping up a lip-smacking Fall Snack Mix recipe for the kiddos as a delightful after-school treat? Now we're talking fun!

    I picked up some handy ingredients at Publix® and decided to whip up this delicious Fall Snack Mix recipe before Angeline and I embarked on our journey to Seattle. It's the perfect snack to take with us on our flight! It was an awesome opportunity to give the recipe a try and see if it had what it takes to become a regular part of our school routine.

It's a super simple way to give your kids a homemade treat during the hectic back-to-school season, and let me tell you, they'll gobble it right up!

    This Fall Snack Mix Recipe tastes great and are healthy too, containing new Cheerios Protein cereal and peanuts! 

    Guess what? We decided to give this recipe a whirl before school started. And let me tell you, not only does Angeline gobble it up for lunch, but it also makes for the perfect munchies on our little adventures! Simply toss them in a Ziploc bag or a reusable plastic container, and you're all set to hit the road!

    How to Make this Fall Snack Mix

    Ingredients you will need to make this Fall Snack Mix

    • 6 cups Corn Chex™ cereal
    • 4cups Cheerios™ Protein Oats & Honey cereal
    • 1cup honey-roasted peanuts
    • ¼cup butter
    • ¼cup honey
    • 1 ½cups candy-coated chocolate-covered peanut candies

    Directions for how to make our Fall Snack Mix

    In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals and peanuts.

    In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter and honey uncovered on High 1 to 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until mixture comes to a full boil and butter is melted.

    Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated.

    Microwave uncovered on High 2 to 4 minutes, stirring every minute, until mixture is well coated and looks glazed.

    Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool. Place in serving bowl; stir in candies. (I disregarded this part of the recipe and just stirred it all together in the large bowl. It's just easier that way!

    Store in airtight container.

    Top Tips

    Method Note: Spray inside of measuring cup with cooking spray before measuring honey so the honey will slide right out after measuring.
    Family/Kids: This snack is perfect for lunch boxes when packaged in small resealable food-storage plastic bags.
