How to Make This Red, White and Blue Bundt Cake
Red White and Blue Bundt Cake Recipe Ingredients
- 1 box, 15.25 oz, white cake mix
- ingredients to make cake (usually oil, water and eggs)
- 1 tub, 16 oz, vanilla frosting
- 1 container, 1.7 oz, red, white and blue sprinkles, plus 2 Tablespoons
- red and blue food coloring
- We used wilton color gels in no-taste red and royal blue
If you don't have time to run to the grocery store to pick up sprinkles, chocolate chips and M&Ms, or even if your local grocery stores just don't have red, white and blue options for the upcoming holidays, have no fear!

Directions for making our Red White and Blue Bundt Cake
Prepare cake mix according to package directions for a bundt cake.
Before pouring batter into pan, pour entire container of sprinkles into batter and mix well to evenly distribute.
Pour into bundt cake pan and bake according to package directions.
Let cool completely before frosting.
Place cake onto a serving platter. Divide frosting into thirds, coloring 2 bowls red and blue with the food coloring.
Microwave each bowl for 10 seconds and stir well.
Drizzle frosting over cake with a spoon.
Take turns alternating colors, giving a minute or two in between each color for it to begin to harden.
If frosting in the bowl begins to harden, return to the microwave for 5 seconds. When cake is complete, top with remaining 2 tablespoons of sprinkles.
Allow the Red, White and Blue Bundt Cake Recipe to set so that the frosting is able to firm up. This recipe serves 10-12 people.
