Homemade Pumpkin Butter Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 can, 15 ounces, pumpkin puree
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup unsweetened apple sauce
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 1-½ teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon salt
- sliced french bread

Homemade Pumpkin Butter Recipe Directions:
Add pumpkin pure, brown sugar, apple sauce, syrup and spices to a sauce pan.
Heat over medium high heat until mixture begins to bubble.
Reduce heat to low and continue to cook and let mixture bubble for 20 minutes. Stir frequently. If mixture begins to splash, reduce heat.
Remove from heat and cool until warm. Serve on sliced bread.
To store, cover and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
Makes about 2 cups.
