    This Homemade Blackberry Donuts Recipe can of course be made with frozen blackberries, but please make sure that you let them completely defrost and then pat them dry to remove all of the excess moisture.

    • 1 and ⅔ cups flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • dash of vanilla
    • ½ cup pure maple syrup
    • ⅓ cup plain yogurt
    • 1.5 cups blackberries

    Firstly, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. You are going to combine the dry ingredients in one large mixing bowl and the wet ingredients in another.

    Then slowly mix the two together and then stir in the blackberries.  Stir only until everything is combined, trying not to over mix.

    Spray your donut pan with nonstick cooking spray and fill each well about ⅔ full, leaving room for the donuts to rise while still keeping the classic donut shape.

    Bake for about 12 to 14 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.  Allow to cool on a rack before enjoying.  These will keep nicely for about 3 to 4 days or freeze perfectly to enjoy later.

      It depends on the size of your donut pan - mine were medium sized donuts and it made 6!
