    These adorable little Halloween Spider Cupcakes are easy to make and feed a crowd! They're perfect for Halloween parties!

    Halloween Spider Cupcakes Recipe

    Coincidentally, my daughter's baby shower is next weekend...and she's having a Halloween themed baby shower!

    We are having a pastry chef create her a Nightmare Before Christmas themed cake, but these adorable little cupcakes would make a great addition!

    This fun cupcakes recipe is of course perfect for Halloween, but you can really make them any time of year - they are especially good for little kids who love bugs and insects!

    How to Make this Halloween Spider Cupcakes Recipe

    Ingredients needed to make this Halloween Spider Cupcakes Recipe: 

    • 24 chocolate cupcakes, baked and cooled
    • 1 tub, 16 oz, white frosting
    • 12 Oreo sandwich cookies
    • black color gel
    • ¼" candy eyes
    • 1 tablespoon white candy melts or white chocolate chips

    Directions for making this Halloween Spider Cupcakes Recipe: 

    Frost each cupcake with white frosting. 

    How to Make this Halloween Spider Cupcakes Recipe

    Place 1 cookie on 12 cupcakes.

    How to Make this Halloween Spider Cupcakes Recipe

    Use black color gel to draw legs onto each cookie spider.

    How to Make this Halloween Spider Cupcakes Recipe

    Repeat until all cookies have legs. 

    To affix eyes onto spiders, place candy melts or white chocolate chips is a resealable sandwich bag but do not seal.

    Place into microwave and heat on 50% power for 30 seconds. Knead bag until chocolate is smooth and melted and if necessary, repeat microwaving and kneading until melted. Snip a very small tip in the bag and pipe chocolate onto the back of the candy eyes.

    Press eyes onto the cookies. Let stand to harden.

    With remaining cupcakes, draw a web onto the top. Start with six lines, intersecting in the center to make 6 triangle pie shapes.

    Halloween Spider Cupcakes is so easy to make and the kids will love them!
