    Apple Pie Wonton Cups Recipe

By the way, regardless of what you want to call it when you create this delicious dessert, everyone is going to completely love it! It's just like tiny little apple pies, but with a super crunchy, thin crust...which we all know is everyone's least favorite part of apple pie, anyway, right?

This Apple Pie Snacks Recipe is sure to be a hit at your next party, so make sure to make a double batch because I promise you that they are going to go quickly!

I have always had a strong affinity for Apple Pie, and this Apple Pie Wonton Cups Recipe is really no exception.

While I love those little mini hand held pies that you can buy in stores, very similar to this Spiced Apple Hand Pie recipe, this wonton cups recipe is so much more fun!

Plus, you can make it yourself any old time you like, so you can whip them up at a moment's notice. They are so easy to make!

Isn't this Apple Pie Snacks Recipe just adorable?!

Bite sized perfection, and kinda guilt-free since they are so small! I'd call that a win-win, wouldn't you?

I had never really thought about serving a dessert in a wonton wrapper before my friend made this recipe for me, but now I am a tiny bit - well, I guess more than a tiny bit - obsessed with the idea of making all kinds of fruity delicious using wonton wrappers.

Maybe mixing berries together, maybe just creating a serving platter full of different options...I imagine that you could create all kinds of fun little fruit filled wonton cups following this same recipe. Maybe cherries, blueberries, blackberries...the list goes on and on!

Directions for making this Apple Pie Wonton Cups Recipe:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray. Even if it is nonstick, spray it down anyway - you don't want the super thin wonton wrappers to stick and ruin the entire recipe!

Place the wonton wrappers into mini muffin tins and press them down into the bottom with a pastry shaper or simply by using your fingers.

Bake for 8 minutes or until browned. Remove from oven and let cool.

    Apple Pie Wonton Cups Recipe

Place all of the chopped apples, butter, sugar, water and cinnamon into a sauce pan.

Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring it frequently until the apples are soft and no longer crunchy and liquid is almost absorbed, which should take about 20 minutes. Remove the apple mixture from the heat and let it cool down a bit until it is warm.

Spoon apple mixture into each wonton cup and serve immediately topped with whipped topping or refrigerate, covered until ready to serve.
