The Carnival Vista, Carnival's newest ship offers cruise goers a plethora of unique vacation opportunities.
To set her apart from the other ships in the Carnival fleet, Vista goes above and beyond in supplying unique dining and entertainment options for cruise passengers.
Innovations on Carnival Vista can be separated into five distinct categories: Outdoor Activities, Indoor Entertainment, Dining, Accommodations, and Relaxation.
Outdoor Activities
From the SkyRide, the cruise industry's first pedal-powered open-air attraction, to the SkyCourse, a suspended ropes course, Carnival Vista has an outdoor activity to appeal to every member of the family.
On warmer days, hit the fleet's largest WaterWorks water park play area and hop a ride on Carnival's only fully enclosed water tube slide or take a dip in one of the ship's pools.
Indoor Entertainment
One the biggest headliners of this new vessel is the world's first IMAX Theater on a cruise ship. Grab a beer and a bag of popcorn and take in a first run film.
Families can also take advantage of HASBRO the Game Show and the Punchliner Comedy Club shows for all ages.
Dining
A New England inspired Seafood Shack (Carnival Cruise Line's first) is the newest dining option on the Carnival Vista. Add to that, Carnival's first "on ship" brewery inside the RedFrog Pub. (Read all about my full brewery experience here)
Vista also offers the line's first-ever outdoor seating options for dinner at Fahrenheit 555 and Bonsai Sushi.
Accommodations
The new Havana Cabanas feature not only your own private balcony, but your own hammock to enjoy and easy access to the Havana Bar and Pool.
Carnival Vista also features new family accommodations known as Family Harbor Suites with their very own lounge. The Family Harbor Lounge is outfitted with big screen TVs, games, complimentary breakfast and snacks. The suites can accommodate up to five family members in one spacious place.
Relaxation
The luxurious two-level Cloud 9 Spa on the Carnival Vista is home to the fleet's first infrared sauna and hamam. Relaxation options extend even further with the Serenity retreat area, the adults only area of the ship.
Vista offers passengers the most outdoor spaces of any other Carnival ship allowing guests to take in all of the stunning vacation "Vistas" in each port of call.

Special thanks goes out to Carnival for hosting me on the Vista for the purpose of this travel piece. All opinions are of course my own.
