This is such a fun recipe to make, but be warned that you need to use a little force when cutting the gum drops. It is a little challenging to cut the gumdrops - I actually got a little blister on my finger from cutting them! But it is all good, the results were worth it in the end for sure!

Here are the ingredients you need to gather to get started making this Valentine's Day Nougat Candy Recipe:

Keep in mind, all of the ingredient amounts you’ll need are in the printable recipe card below! But this is a super simple dessert to make, with just 5 ingredients!

Go ahead and set our your Butter because you get started, so that it has a chance to begin to soften.

    • White Chocolate Chips - the better quality the chocolate, the tastier this Gum Drop Nuget Candy will be!
    • Mini Marshmallows - You might want to buy an extra bag, because if you are anything like me, you will find yourself snacking on them while you are preparing the candy recipe!
    • Pink Gel Food Coloring - The pinker, the better!
    • Red Gumdrops - I purchased 3 of the "Theater Box" size of Dots candy at the store and picked out all of the red ones to get enough gumdrops for this Nuget candy recipe!

Crazy question can you make this with milk chocolate melts?

I haven't tried it, but you can certainly try it out! Milk chocolate melts differently than candy melts, so the consistency may not be the same.

How long can these stay out or last (texture soft)?

It will be good for 3-5 days at room temperature! If you want it to last longer, store it in the fridge.

Oh! And make sure you keep it in an airtight container!
