I love Valentine's Day - even if I have spent the last 6 of them alone, and will spend the 7th alone this year as well.

There is something quite liberating about not having to be romantic on the most romantic day of the year. If you are single - well, if you are HAPPILY single - then you probably know exactly what I am talking about.

There is nothing to get hyped up about, nothing to be disappointed about, nothing to worry about.

When you are happily solo, Valentine's Day is just the day before 50% OFF CANDY DAY.

Now THAT is something to get excited about!!

One of the really fun things about being single during holidays is that you are able to give your full attention to the kiddos in your life. All of the fun centers around giving your children, nieces, nephews and grandkids - or just kids that you love! - fun memories and lots of love.

I don't know about you...but most of the kids in my life LOVE COOKIES. So, why not bake up a sweet batch of these Valentine’s Day Frosted Meltaway Cookies and spread a little love to the kiddos this Valentine's Day?

If you are feeling sad about being single, this is just the kind of activity that makes these sorts of days more fun for us.
