Hello fellow foodies! You've come here searching for restaurant knowledge on the brand new Carnival Vista and I'm here for you!
33 meals. That's how much food one girl could conquer on her eleven night sailing through the Mediterranean on the all new Carnival Vista. Being THAT girl on THAT sailing I am here to share a few of those food experiences so you can plan your attack.
Guy's Burger Joint
Let's start with the restaurant that gets the highest guest satisfaction rankings of all Carnival Cruise Line restaurants. Guy's Burger Joint can be a make or break for some foodies when booking a Carnival Cruise. I always check to see if there's a "Guy's" on board before sailing.
80/20 beef sizzling on a flat top with super-melty cheese and hand cut fries. Need I say more?
Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse ($)
A truly exquisite steakhouse experience at sea is what you will find at Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse. Book this spot on embarkation day and receive a complementary bottle of wine. Oh, and order the cheesecake for a "big" surprise.
Horizons Restaurant
The main dining room get's a modern update and it's very own bar. It was fun to try local dishes here in each port of call.
Seafood Shack ($)
Did somebody say lobst-ah?! Feast your eyes on the freshest seafood dishes at the one and only Seafood Shack (found only on Carnival Vista)
Bonsai Sushi ($)
My girlfriends and I made our way to Bonsai Sushi nearly every day for pre-dinner sushi paired with a cold beer from the pour-your-own beer stations in the RedFrog Pub just down the way.
RedFrog Pub & Brewery
RedFrog Pub & Brewery has the perfect bar bites if you need something a little bit lighter to satisfy a craving.
JiJi Asian Kitchen ($)
JiJi Asian Kitchen is best experienced with friends. Why? Because you are going to want to order as many small plates as possible to sample amongst yourselves. Except for the pork belly. Order one for each of you. Trust me on this.
Cucina del Capitano ($)
Picture yourself in a small Italian Cafe dining with the locals. That's what you get at Cucina del Capitano. Book this restaurant on the first night of your cruise and get a complementary carafe of wine.
BlueIguana Cantina
Up on the Lido deck you'll find BlueIguana Cantina serving lunch to guests lounging by the pool, but I like to go for breakfast burritos and cheese arepas in the morning.
24-Hour Room Service
Want to chill? Have a meal brought to your stateroom 24 hours a day. If you have a balcony room, coffee and pastries taste so much better enjoyed with a private view of the sea.
Too Many Options to Mention
Also on the Carnival Vista are The Chef's Table, The Captain's Pasta Bar Lunch, Cherry on Top, JiJi Asian Kitchen Lunch, The Carnival Deli, Lido Buffet, Pizzaria del Capitano, Shake Spot, Java Blue Cafe, The Taste Bar and so much more!
Who knew they could pack so much deliciousness onto one floating vessel?
Restaurants marked with ($) require a nominal supplemental dining fee.
Special thanks goes out to Carnival for hosting me on the Vista for the purpose of this travel piece. All opinions are of course my own.
