No, they aren't cupcakes made with turkey! (I'm not recreating Rachel's trifle from Friends). Instead, these cute cupcakes look like turkeys.
There are a ton of easy ways to decorate cupcakes like turkeys. I used Nutter Butter cookies and candy corn. This is a perfect recipe for beginning cupcake decorators.

I absolutely LOVE this adorable little Thanksgiving Dessert Recipe, and while it looks pretty detailed, it is so easy to make!

How to Make Thanksgiving Turkey Cupcakes
Grab your friends and get ready to make some fun little turkey cupcakes! All the instructions and ingredients are in the printable recipe card. First, I have some tips and pictures of each step.
Ingredients
All the exact ingredients are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post. First, here is what you'll need from the store:
- Cupcakes, baked and cooled
- White frosting
- Nutter Butter sandwich cookies
- Candy coated sunflower seeds (orange and red color seeds only)
- candy eyes
- Candy corn

Directions
Here are some pictures of the entire process so you can see how I decorated cupcakes to look like turkeys.
Remove about 1 tablespoon of frosting from the tub and place into a sealable sandwich bag. Set aside.
With remaining frosting, color it dark brown using food coloring. Place icing into a pastry bag fitted with a star tip and frost the cupcakes.
Set aside.
Place cookies on a flat surface. Using the reserved white frosting, snip a small corner of the bag and pipe a small amount on the cookie and place the candy eyes on the cookie.
Pipe a small amount of frosting and place an orange beak and red waddle onto the cookie using the candy coated sunflower seeds.
Gently press the cookie into the cupcake.
Tuck candy corns, pointed side down, into each cupcake and repeat until all cupcakes are decorated.
Serving Size
This recipe makes 24 cupcakes.
Storage
Store decorated cupcakes in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
