Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
I absolutely love slow cooker and crock pot recipes because they free up so much of my time. I just pop everything into the slow cooker in the morning and by dinner time, it’s all set!
This is perfect for those days when I am having friends or a date over for dinner and I really don’t feel like spending a ton of time preparing for a meal…especially now that my dishwasher is not functional with my new kitchen faucet.
Yeah, I will tell you all about that another day, once I get it fixed! Washing dishes by hand? Slow cooker recipes are perfect for that because there aren’t as many dishes! It is so nice to have just ONE thing to clean up after dinner (besides the plates and utensils, of course).
You can even be lazy and throw the slow cooker into the fridge with the leftovers and not have to clean it right away. Ha!

Why We Love One Pot and Slow Cooker Meals
I love One Pot Meals or Slow Cooker Meals because we don’t currently have a dishwasher, and it makes my life so much easier when I have fewer dishes to wash after cooking dinner! I mean, who really ENJOYS washing the dishes after cooking?
This is part of the reason why I love using my Slow Cooker – one dirty dish is all I have to clean up after I am done cooking! Of course, not everything needs to be cooked in the slow cooker, and that is where a Skillet or big pot comes in handy!
As I have mentioned in many of my slow cooker, pressure cooker and air fryer recipe posts, I absolutely LOVE my Ninja Foodi Pro! The Ninja FD401 Foodi 12-in-1 Deluxe XL 8 qt.
