    Simple Homemade Plum Tart Recipe

This Simple Homemade Plum Tart Recipe is exactly that - very simple and easy to make in your own kitchen. These delicate little pastries are great for serving in your own home for brunch of course, but they are also the perfect little snack to pack for picnics or to give as a hostess gift.

Plums are full of delicious goodness, so they not only taste great but are actually really good for you on top of that delicious, delicate fruity flavor. Plums and prunes are rich in antioxidants, which are helpful for reducing inflammation and protecting your cells from damage by free radicals. They are particularly high in polyphenol antioxidants, which have positive effects on bone health and may help reduce the risk of heart disease and diabetes.

Both heart disease AND diabetes run in my family - on both sides of my family, actually, which really does not seem fair at all! So of course I try to incorporate as much of these types of foods into my diet as possible. Anything I can do to be healthy, ya know?

And I promise, no one will kick you out of anywhere for making this incredibly simple tart recipe. Bake this easy recipe up with really just about any fruit, to be honest…but FIGS!!! They are so tasty and delicate. I would most definitely get thrown out of that stuffy garden for a fig.

But enough about that Fig Tart - let's get back to this delicious plum tart recipe that we are sharing today! This plum tart is really light, flaky, crispy with just a hint of natural sweetness to tie it all together. It isn't too sweet, but just sweet enough!
