Whether your kids have been naughty or nice this year is irrelevant because getting a Santa's Lumps of Coal Christmas Dessert isn’t a bad thing. At least it’s not bad when it’s made out of scrumptious OREO cookies!

This is the lazy baker’s version of an OREO cookie ball and there are absolutely no skills required. If rolling a uniform ball is not your thing, this is for you. If dipping cookie balls into melted chocolate results in a lumpy mess, this is for you.

Why You'll love our Santa's Lumps of Coal Christmas Dessert

These little lumps of coal are even perfect for little kids to make. They can get their hands dirty mixing the dough and shaping it into little lumps and rolling it in the cookie crumbles.

How to Make Santa's Lumps of Coal Christmas Dessert

    Ingredients

    • 36 OREO cookies + 10 OREO cookies
    • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
    • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal

    Directions

Use a food processor and pulse the first package (36 OREOS) of cookies until they're a fine crumb.

Add the crumbs to a mixing bowl with cream cheese and cereal.

Use a food processor and pulse the 10 OREOS until they're a fine crumb and set aside in a small bowl.

Use your hands to mix the cookie, cream cheese and cereal mixture until it's completely blended together.

Use a fork to pull out about 2 tablespoons of the cookie dough and squish it a bit with your fingers to make it lumpy.

Gently roll the dough in the bowl of cookie crumbs and set aside on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Repeat for the rest of the dough and refrigerate until ready to eat.
