I recently participated in a press trip for the grand opening of Sandals Ochi Beach Resort, and I have to say, it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. I’ve been on a lot of cruises, and I’ve been to a lot of resorts, but Sandals Ochi Beach Resort was the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed bar-none. It isn’t just a resort. It’s a tropical paradise!
Sandals Ochi Beach Resort is the Eden of the Caribbean
Let me start with a brief overview of the resort, because it is just so fantastic. The first thing I want to mention is the setting. Sandals Ochi Beach Resort is situated on over 100 acres of beautiful terrain on the North Coast of Jamaica. It’s absolutely magical. The lush, green hillside gardens overlooking the Caribbean Sea are so tranquil, you could just lose yourself in your surroundings before you ever make it to the resort proper. It’s that spectacular!
If you can pull yourself away from the flora, you’ll find yourself in a five-star resort setting featuring 529 villas, luxury rooms, and suites, and they all sport views of the majestic mountains of Jamaica and the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea.
In addition to that, Sandals Ochi Beach Resort offers 105 pools, 22 hot tubs, 17 dining options, two luxurious Red Lane Spas, a tropical Solarium, complimentary green fees at the Sandals Golf & Country Club, the Caribbean’s largest rock climbing wall, 5,000-plus square feet of world class conference facilities, AND the Ochi Beach Club, which offers a party experience like no other, combining entertainment, music, and dining.
Like I said, it’s a beach resort like no other!
Sandals Ochi Beach Resort – Everything at Your Fingertips
Sandals Ochi is everything you’ve ever wanted in a resort. It’s a place that’s practically made of all the comments we travelers make when we travel. You know what I’m talking about. “Oh, it’s beautiful here, but the place is a little outdated.” “I love the dining, but it would be great if their were a few more options.” It’s like Sandals Ochi Beach Resort read our minds, and gave us everything we’ve always wanted in one spectacular place!
Sandals Ochi Beach Resort has 16 restaurants bringing you flavors from across the globe and 11 bars throughout the resort. My favorite restaurant was actually a very casual spot, the Jerk Shack. Hello! I was in Jamaica, of course I kept going back for the jerk chicken! The Red Pea Soup was also pretty phenomenal!
Their Gourmet Discovery Dining program gives you a complete immersive experience of the flavors of a wide variety of cultures.
If you’re looking for the ultimate in luxury living on your vacation, you’ll find it at Ochi. They’ve completely renovated all of the rooms to suit any style or budget, and they even have an All-Butler Village. You seriously never have to lift a finger for anything. Ever. With this VIP treatment, you’ll feel like a celebrity from the start! They’ve thought of everything down to terry cloth robes, Egyptian cotton duvets, and plasma TVs for those times when you just don’t want to do anything.
If you like to get out and mix it up, Sandals Ochi Beach Resort has you covered. Their deck lounge is perfect for meeting and greeting. They also have a beachfront pool with a swim-up bar and daily beach themes such as Sexy Sundays. They also have a “Choc it Up” Night – my favorite – completely devoted to chocolate. It even has a chocolate buffet! Oh, and before I forget, they have a theater – an epic theater. Let me just say this about the theater: endless popcorn.
Sandals Ochi Beach Resort has everything AND the kitchen sink. From golfing to kayaking and diving. If you can think of it, Sandals Ochi has it.
You have to Experience Sandals Ochi to Believe It
If I hadn’t been there, I would have never believed that Sandals Ochi Beach Resort could be so miraculous. I have never in my life stayed anywhere so fantastically beautiful, luxurious, and entertaining. It really is the best that Sandals has to offer and then some. Sandals Ochi Beach Resort has forever raised the bar on beach resort vacations for me, and I’ll never forget my time there. It really is a place that makes life-long memories.
I visited the Sandals Resort in Ocho Rios during an all-expenses paid press trip. All opinions are my own.
