We used to always have Memorial Day and 4th of July gatherings, and to be honest, while I miss the social atmosphere, I most certainly do not miss the preparation and clean up!
I wish that I had a simple dessert recipe like this to have made back when I was in the midst of my party planning heyday!
It is SO EASY! And look at how pretty this 4th of July JELL-O Dessert comes out! I've only just recently learned about this kind of recipe, I had never even thought to create a JELL-O recipe using sweetened condensed milk before!
Wouldn't this sweet little recipe be just the perfect dessert to serve the kids while you are all lighting off fireworks? I think so!

How to make this Red, White and Blue Stained Glass JELL-O Recipe for 4th of July
Ingredients needed to make this Red, White and Blue Stained Glass JELL-O Recipe:
- 1 large box, 6 oz, cherry jello
- 1 large box, 6 oz, berry blue jello
- 2 packages, 0.25 oz each, unflavored gelatin
- 1 can, 14 oz, sweetened condensed milk
- water

Directions for making this Red, White and Blue Stained Glass JELL-O Recipe for 4th of July:
Clear a place in the refrigerator for a 9x13 baking pan. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of boiling water with 1 package of red jello. Mix well until evenly dissolved.
Pour into 8x8 pan and refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
Repeat for the box of blue jello. Once jello is set, cut into ½" cubes. Place cubes into a 9x13 pan and refrigerate.
In a mixing bowl, add ½ cup cold water and both packages of unflavored gelatin. Let set for about 5 minutes until thick. Add 1-½ cups boiling water and stir until dissolved. Stir in sweetened condensed milk.
Let set and cool until about room temperature. Pour into 9x13 pan with jello cubes and return to the refrigerator to set, about 4 hours.
Cut into 2" bars and serve.
