This Oreo Trifle is really a pretty light and fluffy dessert.
I make a box of cake and make 12 cupcakes and 1 round for the trifle recipe.
The cupcakes I just frost and then my family gets to eat a little extra something while I am assembling this bad boy!
You could use two rounds but in my opinion it is actually just too much cake.

How to Make this Oreo Trifle Cookie Dessert Recipe
Ingredients that you will need to make this Easy Oreo Trifle:
- 1 round chocolate cake (9") baked and cooled
- 1 package, 4.2 oz, Oreo Cookie Pudding
- 2 cups milk
- 15 Oreo cookies, divided
- 1 small tub, 8 oz, whipped topping, thawed

Directions for making this Easy Oreo Trifle Recipe:
Begin by mixing the pudding and the milk together with a wire whisk.
Whisk it up until it is completely smooth and all of the powder is dissolved.
Refrigerate this for 5 minutes s o that the pudding has a chance to thicken.
Place 10 whole Oreo cookies into a quart size plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin.
Trim the edges of the round cake to fit into the trifle dish. Discard edges.
Slice the cake in half and place one half into the bottom of the trifle bowl.
Add half of the pudding on top of the cake. Add half of the whipped topping and spread evenly.
Sprinkle with half of the crushed Oreo cookies.
Repeat the layers in the dish.
After the final layer of whipped topping, add 5 whole Oreo cookies to the top and add remaining crushed cookies.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
