Oatmeal Chocolate Chipper Balls Recipe
Over the last few months, I've been working towards a healthier me. With my huge sweet tooth, I've found that the hardest part of watching what I eat (besides my hatred of exercise) is giving up the sweets.
You can relate, right? Well, I've been doing some experimenting with some of my favorite recipes and substituting SPLENDA® Brown Sugar Blend for regular old brown sugar, and so far, I've had great success!
I love oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, but my regular recipe uses a ton of brown sugar and white sugar - which isn't so great when I am struggling to lose the last ten pounds. So I used a basic Oatmeal Raisin cookie recipe from Quaker as the basis of this recipe and just changed it up a bit to suit my needs.

How to Make this Oatmeal Chocolate Chipper Balls Recipe
Directions for making this Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, beat butter and sugars on medium speed of electric mixer until it is a creamy consistency.
Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, and beat well until it is thoroughly combined.
Add in your combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and mix well.
Add in oats and chocolate chips and mix well - do not beat with the electric mixer, as we don't want the chocolate chips to break up!
Roll your dough into balls about one inch thick and place on your ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. The cookies do not spread much, so they don't need to be spaced out as much as most cookie recipes.
Bake for 8 minutes and then let sit on the cookie sheet for about a minute before removing to cooling racks to finish cooling.

I use Splenda in my coffee all the time but have never thought to use it in my baking. I'll have to make your oatmeal chocolate chipper balls to test it out with the Splenda.
