Although I returned home from Jamaica over a week ago, I am still day dreaming about my vacation...have you ever had a trip like that?

Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa

My Stay at The Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa

I had the good fortune of staying at the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa, located in Lucea, which is in between Montego Bay and Negril.

When I began to write this post about my stay at the Grand Palladium, I couldn't decide where to begin!

Should I start by mentioning that it's home to the largest swimming pool in all of Jamaica? Or that it's located on one of the most beautiful beaches I'd ever seen?

Or perhaps the best place to start is by describing what a fantastic place this would be for your next family vacation, with an entire Kid's Corner for your children to play in  - because I am almost certain I will be bringing my family there very soon!

The Kid's Corner is for children ages 4 to 12, is open 9 am to 11 pm, and even has children's food menus!

Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa

The Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa is actually a two-part resort - on one side you have the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa, and on the other, you have the Lady Hamilton resort and Spa.

What's the difference, you might ask?

Not much really; the rooms are the same, the amenities are the same - the only difference is that the Lady Hamilton side of the resort has Honeymoon Suites, which are remotely located, decorated for romance, and completely child-free.

On my first evening, I arrived after it was already dark and was unable to really appreciate the grounds, but as soon as I woke up Thursday morning, I was certainly impressed with my suite!

I'm a sucker for a swan made out of towels, and house keeping created a lovely surprise for me every morning!

The first thing I did Thursday morning was take a tour of the Grand Palladium and Lady Hamilton Resort and Spa.

It is literally the most elegant and beautiful resort I have ever laid eyes on. Given my frequent travels, being able to say that means a lot.

First of all, the grounds were enormous, with over 500 rooms in total: 450 Junior Suites & 90 Suites!

Each suite has either two double beds or one king size bed, a flat screen TV with satellite cable, a huge closet and in-room safe, a seating area with a fold-out sleeper sofa and chairs, a patio, as well as a full bathroom with a marvelous Jacuzzi bath tub and a marble shower big enough for two.

Oh, and the mini-fridge? It comes stocked with sodas, water and Red Stripe beer - all complimentary. That's my kind of mini-fridge!

I love to eat while on vacation, and the Grand Palladium offered many opportunities for me to do that...with 7 a la carte restaurants with a wide variety of cuisine, not to mention the 3 buffet restaurants with gourmet fare!

I enjoy having a few cocktails while vacationing, especially after a long day of adventures around the island. The Grand Palladium has 13 bars distributed around the complex, with the Sports Bar being open for 22 hours a day - that's right, they only close between 7 am and 9 am to clean up and restock!

Of course if fine dining doesn't make the top of your agenda, there is also a Casino on grounds, as well as a first class Spa & Wellness Center.

Take it from me, the spa and wellness center is complete and utter bliss. I spent a little time in the spa area and did not want to leave - even the lobby was zen and relaxing!

I loved my stay at the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa...though, I think that the next time I go, I might have to try out that swim-up pool bar!

*I received a complimentary stay at Grand Palladium in cooperation with the Jamaican Tourist Board and was sponsored by MomDot.com. All opinions are my own - this place really was that amazing!

Okay, I'm kind of jealous right now. As if the beach wasn't gorgeous enough, they put in a ginormous pool--awesome!
