While recently visiting the Nestle headquarters on behalf of another blogger, I was treated to a delicious breakfast prepared by the Nestle chefs. Everything they prepared was so delicious, but my favorite breakfast dish by far was the maple glazed bacon with pecans – I was tempted to fill my purse with them!
The Nestle chef who created the dish shared his recipe with us and knew that I had to try it when I returned home!
They’re savory, yet sweet, and while Angeline and Chris don’t care for pecans, they gobbled up the “plain” version that I made for them. I think these maple glazed bacon strips are going to be a Saturday morning breakfast staple from now on!
Maple Glazed Bacon Strips with Pecans
Ingredients
1 package of bacon
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1/3 cup finely chopped pecans
Directions
Preheat your oven to 250 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or tin foil for easier clean up.
Lay your raw bacon on the parchment paper and drizzle with pure maple syrup. With a pasty brush, evenly spread the maple syrup on each bacon strip.
Sprinkle with brown sugar and chopped pecans.
Bake at 250 degrees for one hour.
These maple glazed bacon strips with pecans are so delicious…I had to cut the finished strips in half to slow myself down while eating them!
That looks and sounds insanely delicious!
I like the addition of the pecans.
Oh my freaking goodness thank you so much for posting this – I didn’t write it down and totally forgot what he said on how he made it. I’m totally making this again, it was like candy!
Nom! You’re just missing a bit a chocolate!

Oh yum!! I could eat this every day!
I like bacon candied with brown sugar, so I bet I would like this too.
I dip my bacon in maple syrup quite often so I’m sure this would be delish!
I’ve never had bacon with anything on it. It looks interesting.
Wish we were closer so you can cook for me 😉
This looks interesting! 🙂
Looks very interesting!
Had these as an hors d’oeuvres at a party in Boothbay Maine and one almost had our hands cut off by guests grabbing them. The whole plate was gone in one minute. Such a gastronomical delight to behold. Can’t wait to make them myself. Thank you so much for the recipe.
Oh wow, I need to make those… NOW!
Hi Jenn, great bacon dish! How about adding it to the Food on Friday: Bacon collection over at Carole’s Chatter? Cheers
This makes perfect sense…I like dipping my bacon into maple syrup. Yum!
