While I was in Jamaica on a blogger press trip, I had the good fortune of touring the Holiday Inn Sunspree, an all-inclusive family friendly resort in Montego Bay.
As soon as my group arrived, we were whisked away to a tour of the hotel and given a front row seat to one of the resort's many fun attractions - a little concert given at the bar area.
The Holiday Inn Sunspree Montego Bay is a destination in and of itself! It's a 524 room beachfront all-inclusive resort that caters to families like no other in Montego Bay. Can you say "KidSpree Vacation Club Program?" Once your children experience the award-winning amenities, they won't want to go anywhere else on future vacations!
Free of charge to all guests, the KidSpree Vacation Club features a menu full of supervised activities for children between the ages of six months to 12 years, and they are separated into three groups:
- Granny's Nursery - six months to three years
- Adventurers - ages four to seven
- Wonder Years - ages eight to 12
Each group is offered fun games and activities throughout the day like face painting, movies, excursions, board games, play garden, sand castle building - and after hours, in-room babysitting services are available to parents until midnight! Want to enjoy the adult festivities after midnight? No worries! Your in-room babysitter is available to stay longer - until 2 am - so long as you request their services prior the beginning of your evening, and payment is made directly to your babysitter.
Did I mention that children aged 12 and under...Stay, Play and Eat for free? That's right; children 12 and under are free at the Holiday Inn Sunspree in Montego Bay, Jamaica - so long as they are there with a paying adult.
While the children have their own Children's Activity center as part of the KidSpree Vacation Club, adults have plenty of fun too! All adult beverages (aka delicious Caribbean cocktails) are included in the price of you resort stay, and there is also a full-service spa, Sol-Mer Salon, which offer a full range of massage and beauty services that combine Pevonia products with uniquely Jamaican accents.
When I walked into the spa center, it smelled of peace and relaxation - just what a mama needs when she's on vacation!
And the food? Well, in a word: delicious. We sat down to a sumptuous buffet lunch in front of the pool while finishing those delicious cocktails and watched as the Holiday Inn Sunspree resort's turtle mascot showed us all how to dance to a Caribbean beat!
The Holiday Inn Sunspree is a fantastic property and a great bargain. My personal favorite thing about the resort is that they have Kid Suites - rooms where children have their own private spaces with the room, complete with bunk beds, television and play table - and the best part of all? A wall separating the little kiddos from mom and dad, so you might even be able to get a little sleep on vacation!
If you are heading to Jamaica with your children, you might want to check out the Holiday Inn Sunspree - I know that I will definitely be adding it to my list of preferred accommodations when I take my daughter next year!
* I received a complimentary lunch while touring the Holiday Inn Sunspree as part of a press trip to Jamaica, sponsored by the Jamaican Tourist Board. All opinions are my own - they had me at free wifi (which was super strong throughout the entire resort)...as any social media butterfly can attest, a strong wifi signal is as good as gold!
