Ingredients you will need to make our Chocolate Pumpkin Brownies
Here's a quick look at the ingredients you will use to make our pumpkin fudgy brownies. All of the exact amounts are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post.
Chocolate Brownie Ingredients:
- Granulated sugar
- All purpose flour
- Unsweetened cocoa powder
- Salt
- Baking soda
- Eggs
- Vegetable oil
- Pure Vanilla Extract

- Pumpkin puree
- Granulated sugar
- All purpose flour
- Pumpkin pie spice
- Salt
- Baking soda

Directions for how to make our Chocolate Pumpkin Brownies:
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9"x13" baking pan with nonstick cooking spray and set it aside.
Second, in a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar, all purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt and the baking soda. Mix these dry ingredients together well and then set the bowl aside.
In a smaller bowl, add eggs, oil and vanilla and whisk well.
Add wet ingredients to the dry and mix until just combined.
Divide chocolate batter in half and spread half of the mixture into the prepared pan. This layer will be thin. Set aside remaining batter.
In a small bowl, combine eggs and pumpkin puree and whisk well, set aside.
Then in a separate mixing bowl, add sugar, flour, pumpkin pie spice, salt and baking soda and mix well. Add the wet ingredients to this bowl and then mix until everything is well combined.
Spread half of the pumpkin mixture on top of the chocolate layer in the pan.
Using a tablespoon portion scoop, scoop dollops of the remaining chocolate batter in the pan and the remaining dollops of pumpkin batter.
Use a knife to swirl the batter.
Bake brownies for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and let stand until completely cooled.
Pro Tip for Cutting Pumpkin Brownies
I always use a plastic pan scraper (as shown) to cut my brownies. It's one of the easiest ways to cut the brownies and the brownies don't stick to the scraper like they do a metal knife.
How to Make 2 Bite Brownies
If you want to make 2 bite brownies out of these healthy pumpkin brownies, cut them into 24 squares instead of 12!
