I have always loved Valentine's Day. I know that many hate it because they are single and lonely, but I think that is ridiculous. Valentine's Day is FUN. Celebrate it with your girlfriends as Galentine's Day, or simply use it as an excuse to give the little kids in your family adorable heart shaped chocolate treats or stuffed animals.
I've been single for just about six entire years now, and I have never had a boyfriend on Valentine's day. I haven't enjoyed it any less. Truth be told, my father has given me flowers and chocolate every year since my ex husband left me...so I haven't missed out on anything! HA HA!
I still enjoy Valentine's Day just as much as I did when I was married, as my ex husband wasn't romantic and we usually celebrated as a family with a nice dinner at home, as we did it when I was kid with my family. I celebrate with my girlfriends most years and I haven't shed a single tear since my divorce about being alone on February 14th.
