My day began by booking flights for our family to visit my husband's side of the family in New Mexico over Christmas break. It seems that even when I am home, I'm still in a traveling state of mind. One of my favorite things to discuss with friends and family, and with my blog readers is TRAVEL, so I am happy to announce that I am joining Alamo for a second time as an Alamo Chief Travel Mom!
Over the next year, I will be joined by eight other blogging moms to talk with you about all things travel-related. It's going to be so much fun!
So what will these travel-loving moms be talking about?
Navigating Mom Problems - As moms, we are usually the ones who make the travel arrangements for our families. No matter how perfectly we plan things, something always comes up and throws a wrench in our plans, right? Well, we will be sharing our own mom problems when it comes to travel and sharing tips and tricks for getting through them with our sanity intact.
Moms For Moms - Do you love to travel with your family? The Alamo Chief Travel Moms want to bring you into a travel-loving network of moms, where we hope to inspire each other to travel more and spend more time bonding with our families and creating memories that will last a lifetime!
The Laughing Mom - Life is crazy. Throw a family vacation into the mix and there's no telling what will happen! Sometimes you just have to laugh it off!
The goal of the Alamo Chief Travel Moms is to help our fellow moms go beyond the usual types of family travel. We want to set goals to take our family travels to the next level! Let's make resolutions to do something different, challenge our preconceived notions about destinations and get out there and explore the world with our families!
I will be checking in with you a few times over the next year as we discuss travel for each season: the Fall Holidays, Winter, Spring and Summer!
Our first big event will be our Laughing Mom Twitter Chat on November the 12th at 8 PM EST. We will be discussing the usual holiday family activities and problems to be on the lookout for. Save the date for the #AlamoDriveHappy Chat and bring a photo of something that represents your ideas of family travel. Alamo will be doing something fun with the photos!
I plan on bringing this photo of Angeline and I from our vacation in June. We spent a lovely week on a cruise in the Caribbean and visited Aruba and Curacao for the first time - that is what family travel is all about for me: exploring the world together.
Be sure follow #AlamoDriveHappy and @Alamo on Twitter to stay up to date on all things Chief Travel Mom related! Don’t forget to sign up to be an Alamo Insider – it gets you an additional 5% off of Alamo’s already low prices!
