    Grilled Ham and Brie Sandwich

    I came up with this Easy Grilled Ham and Brie Sandwich Recipe with a little inspiration from an eatery in St Petersburg, Florida.

    I'd never thought of combining ham and brie cheese, but it is absolutely delicious!

    I love spending time with friends and often have my friend Bri over for dinner.

    While I don't especially LOVE cooking, I don't mind it at all when someone else is going to help me eat whatever it is I am cooking!

    As Angeline is now working evenings in her new job, I don't get the opportunity to cook for her often...so Bri has taken the spot of my recipe guinea pig!

    Easy Grilled Ham and Brie Sandwich

    My Easy Grilled Ham and Brie Sandwich Recipe, featuring Prime Fresh Lunch meat, is the most perfect ham and cheese sandwich you could possibly imagine!

    Between the flavorful Prime Fresh Honey Ham and the soft, mild brie cheese, the buttery, crisp sourdough and the freshness of the tomatoes...

    You just can't go wrong.

    It's perfect for entertaining friends while you watch the game, or making ahead and taking to a tailgating party...or really, just about any time, any place, anywhere...

    I love it with a little side salad for lunch while I am working!

    This Ham and Brie Sandwich goes amazingly well with our Tomato and Basil Soup recipe!

    How to make a Easy Grilled Ham and Brie Sandwich

    Ingredients you will need to make Easy Grilled Ham and Brie Sandwich

    (this is for one sandwich)

    • 2 slices Prime Fresh Honey Ham
    • 2 slices sourdough bread
    • Butter as needed
    • Thinly sliced tomatoes
    • Brie cheese

    Directions for how to make this Ham and Brie Sandwich

    Melt butter (I used 2 slabs of buter, about a teaspoon) over medium heat on the stove. Place the bread and wait for it to begin to brown.

    Meanwhile, slice your tomatoes as thinly as possible - we don't want a lot of juice to make our sandwiches soggy!

    Pick up your bread and add more butter to the pan, then add the bread to your new melted butter, un-cooked side down. Add a few slices of Brie cheese to each piece of bread. I tried to slice mine really thin but it turned out more like chunks. If that happens, don't worry! Just try to spread it around on the bread so that the entire sandwich winds up being cheesy.

    Add your ham and tomatoes, then put the sandwich together and press firmly with a spatula so that it "sticks together." I flipped mine a few times to make sure that it cooked evenly on both sides.

    I also made a version without tomatoes for Angeline to take to work with her - she's always been a bit of a picky eater and doesn't care for tomatoes unless it's in a pasta sauce.
