These 7 Air Travel Tips will help you make the most of your flight, regardless of where you’re going!

Does it not feel a bit poetic when your flight takes off from the runway and into the skies?

The surrounding houses and greenery start getting smaller, and soon they disappear as if someone performed magic in front of your eyes.

7 Easy Air Travel Tips for a Happier Flight

According to 2018 air traffic data, the US and foreign airlines operating in the US serve more than 980 million passengers.

As air travel has become more convenient than ever, following These 7 Air Travel Tips will make your future flights even happier:

7 Air Travel Tips for a Happier Flight

    1. Carry a foot hanger with you for your flight

Flying to your destination may be a gleeful experience for first-timers, but can be an arduous one for veterans. Sitting still for long periods can hurt your legs and your back. You can prevent such an uncomfortable journey by carrying a foot hanger.

These hammock-shaped hangers will allow you to spread your legs and hang them comfortably for a luxurious trip.

If you can’t afford business class, this is the best way to experience the same comfort on an economy ticket.

    1. Arrive early, even for domestic flights

Arriving early at the airport is a rule of thumb that everyone should follow. Airport security has increased over the years, and checking passengers’ hand luggage takes a lot of time.

Moreover, you shouldn’t risk the last moment tension of running from the gateway to the boarding pass counter.

Try to reach the airport at least 90 minutes before the flight. Sit and relax if you are early.

    1. Use web check-in facility or a travel app to check in for your flight to avoid long lines

Standing at the teller to check in can be frustrating. The queue usually seems never-ending. You can save plenty of time by doing a web check-in.

Most importantly, you get an additional opportunity to select your favorite seats.

There is also an advantage of separate luggage drop off for web check-in passengers to offer a smoother experience. Imagine the time you can save when you don’t have to wait behind a lengthy queue to drop your bags.

Top 5 Uses of a Credit Card When Travelling

    1. Keep a small and light carry-on suitcase with you

Many airlines charge passengers for checked luggage, irrespective of the weight.

This means that if you are trying to sneak in some extra clothes or accessories in your carry-on luggage, you may end up paying for it. Flight attendants check carry-on bags to prevent passengers from bringing too many items into the cabin.

In order not to be in such awkward situations, you should have an extra light suitcase with you. In fact, the right luggage is one of the key points of traveling.

There are soft suitcases that are lightweight but are not resistant or compact, causing many inconveniences. On the other hand, those with hard shells are a bit heavier.

Try to find the golden mean and opt for lightweight hard shell cabin luggage that will be both light and compact to pack all the essentials.

Stick to the flight guidelines, and your flight will be happier than before. The more stuff you cram in your carry-on, the more uncomfortable your journey will be.

7 Easy Air Travel Tips for a Happier Flight

    1. Be Courteous and Kind to Security

When it comes to security, cooperate with the officials at every stage. Don’t do anything that arouses unnecessary suspicion.

If you are carrying laptops or cameras, set them aside in a separate handbag instead of leaving them inside the carry-on. It speeds up the security check, and your carry-on won’t be as heavy.

Also, try wearing slip-on shoes and a nice clean pair of socks - this will save you the embarrassment of getting some disapproving looks due to your unmanicured feet! And men, take off your belt before you reach the security check.

    1. Carry snacks with you for your flight

Save useful cash on the flight by carrying your snacks. Food is expensive at the airport, and, unless your meals are bundled in with your ticket, on the plane too.

Your journey will be a lot smoother when you save a handful of cash right before landing at your destination. Moreover, if it is a long flight, you may end up buying some flight food at the end of the journey, but you can still save plenty by bringing your snacks.

Carry a convenient and healthy snack that will keep your appetite satisfied for prolonged periods, like sandwiches, celery sticks or even carrot sticks.

    1. Use valet parking if the airport has it available

Book your parking online, and you’ll avoid waiting behind hundreds of cars. You can even upgrade to valet parking, which costs slightly more than general parking but provides you with priority parking instead of wasting time in a queue.

It is better to spend more of your pre-flight time at the airport than in your car, especially in cold winter months.

7 Easy Air Travel Tips for a Happier Flight

The above air travel tips have been tried and tested by thousands all over the world. They not only make your journey happier but more comfortable as well.

The experience gets better every time you follow These 7 Air Travel Tips. So keep these in mind, and most importantly, happy flying and safe travels!
