Check out Gabby's Kid Power Challenge
Additionally, DreamWorks Animation and UNICEF USA have teamed up for Gabby's Kid Power Challenge, a cat-tastic program that gives kids the power to make a positive impact for children in need around the world.
How It Works: Each week kids will be encouraged to visit the Gabby and Friends YouTube channel (YOUTUBE.COM/GabbyandFriends) and watch a new Gabby's Kid Power Challenge video.
Weekly videos will feature Gabby (Laila Lockhart Kraner) and everyone’s favorite kitty characters like Pandy Paws, Cakey Cat, and DJ Catnip participating in fun crafts, dancing and costume parties, while highlighting valuable lessons like the importance of teamwork, mindfulness, flexible thinking and failure as a learning process.
For each video watched, kids will earn "kitty hearts” that will be added to a "kitty bank" on GabbysKidPowerChallenge.com. Once the kitty bank is full, families can vote on which area of UNICEF’s work they would like to see DreamWorks’ donation support.
Categories for impact include therapeutic food packs for children with acute malnutrition, school supplies for children who can’t afford back-to-school basics or attend underfunded schools, and blankets for children and families who have been displaced from their homes by emergencies.
Through the videos kids can not only learn valuable social-emotional lessons but also contribute towards making a lasting change for children around the world. Gabby's Kid Power Challenge will run through World Children’s Day on November 20th.
