Valentine's Day Cupcake Heart Cake Recipe
I love cupcakes, and I think that they're the perfect little dessert to serve around Valentine's Day! You can pack them up and take them to work, school, church socials, family functions - or simply serve to the family after dinner for a special treat!
Now that the winter holidays are over, it’s time to get ready for Valentine’s Day! Now, I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day in the traditional romantic sense anymore, as I am single and not currently dating.
But…back when I was a kid, my family always made a big deal of Valentine’s Day and my parents always took us kids out for dinner or to a Chuck E Cheese style place. It was so fun!
Valentine’s Day can be super fun for families to celebrate together, and I promise, you’ll make memories that will last your children a lifetime!

Directions for making this Valentine's Day Cupcake Heart Cake Recipe
Place your cupcakes onto a large cutting board (mine measures 20" x 12") Create the heart shape with all of the cupcakes.
If you plan to take your cupcakes anywhere, you'll need to do the next step, otherwise, you'll have cupcakes on the floor. I know from experience. Place a small amount of icing under each cupcake wrapper. Press onto the cutting board to secure.
Place about ⅔ of a tub of white frosting into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe white frosting onto the top cupcakes. When you pipe your frosting, make sure it goes to the edges of the cupcakes and almost connects them together.
Place ⅔ of a tub of frosting into a large mixing bowl. Add deep pink color gels and mix well until the desired color is achieved. Place frosting into a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe onto the cupcakes under the white.
Place the remaining white frosting into the same mixing bowl (I didn't bother to wash) and add red red color gels to tint the icing red to the desired shade. Place frosting into a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe onto the cupcakes.
