Oh, Shark Week. Glorious, glorious Shark Week...Angeline and I were utterly obsessed with all things Shark Week related right up until the point that we cut cable in 2017 and lost our beloved Discovery Channel.
This Shark Week Treats: Shark Cupcakes Recipe is the first time I am sharing a Shark Week themed recipe, but I did share this funny post about Things I've Learned from Shark Week a while back!
We loved Shark Week so much that we actually booked a cage diving with Great White sharks excursion while we were in South Africa in 2015! It was one of the most terrifying and exhilarating experiences of my life!
Angeline still talks about that trip to this day! I tell you, if you can afford to make your kid's wildest dreams come true...do it! These kind of experiences are never, ever forgotten!

This Shark Cupcakes Recipe is so cute and while the fins do take some time to make, as you're making them from scratch, the effort is worth it! They are so perfect for celebrating Shark Week when they are done!
Notes about Wilton Candy Melts
Please note that Wilton has new packaging and a new size of candy melts. Their old candy melt size was around that of a quarter. The new size is similar to the size of a nickel. I'm referencing the newer size, the nickel when I talk about the number of wafers. So keep that in mind when preparing your cupcakes!

Tint the remaining frosting with blue food coloring. Frost each cupcake with a thin layer of blue frosting.
