Tips for Making the Best Valentine Krispie Treats

Spray 9x13 pan with non-stick spray.

In a large pan melt butter and marshmallows on low heat. Once the mixture is smooth add several drops of Red food coloring and stir.

Once marshmallow and butter mixture is pink, stir in the 6 cups of rice cereal and coat completely.

Pour your Rice Krispie Treats mixture into the 9x13 pan and press down evenly with wax paper (mixture will be sticky) or with the back of a large spoon.

Give it a bit to harden up - 10 minutes should do the trick! You can also throw the entire pan into the fridge for about 5 minutes.

Once your Valentine Krispie Treats is hardened, use the cookie cutters to cut out the hearts and set aside.

*If desired put the treats onto the candy sticks BEFORE dipping in the chocolates.

Melt the White Candy Melts in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second increments stirring until melted. Let cool 1-2 minutes.

Dip the Heart shaped Valentine treats into the chocolate one at a time and set aside.

    Finally, sprinkle with Valentine nonpareils!
