If you know me at all, then you KNOW that I just absolutely LOVE a good party...and the only thing I love more than a party is a themed party! I will be attending the Party Like It's 1939 Party at the Coral Gables Museum on November 23rd, and I would love to see some of you local readers there!
"Party Like It's 1939" is going to be a glam, over-the-top event for a truly worthy cause and we're all going to have an absolute blast! Did you see that...OPEN BAR. FOOD! LIVE MUSIC! I mean, what more could you ask for?
Oh, and we get to get all fancy and dressed up! Double YAY!
So, what's this all about? The Coral Gables Museum is celebrating the 1920’s planned community of Coral Gables and presents exhibits and programs that examine the built environment.
During the event, each Museum area will be activated as a different scene from 1939, know as "the Golden Year of Hollywood," complete with its own food, drink and entertainment. Well, for starters, the open bar is being sponsored by Bacardi with signature cocktails, and there will be delicious small plates and heavy passed hors d'oeuvres....
That entertainment I talked about? They will have an 11-piece live swing jazz band, antique automobiles, old-school casino games, a secret Key West-themed speakeasy with surprise entertainment, a silent auction, and more!
All event proceeds from the party of the season will benefit the Museum and its top-notch exhibits, programming and events, which are often made available to the public for free.
This is the perfect event for anyone who loves vintage fashion, retro movies and throwback music!
You can get your tickets at EventBrite. While the early bird tickets have sold out, you can still get General Admission for $100.00, or VIP for $150.00 (includes exclusive access to VIP lounge featuring special cocktails & entertainment).
