Until a few days ago, I had no idea that Barilla® made organic anything. I learned about it when I had the opportunity to attend an in-store demo of their pasta and sauce, and I was immediately hooked.
Their in-store demo featured organic pasta and marinara sauce together, and they had all the taste I've always loved about Barilla®, and they were completely natural, which I love.
There's nothing in there but quality ingredients. It's 100% natural, and these days, I'm all about that. There are too many chemicals and GMOs out there for my taste!
Another great thing about the new organic pasta and all-natural sauce from Barilla® is that they're available at BJ's. BJ's is my favorite market. I go there all the time because I know I can get the best brands at the best prices. With the cost of food these days, you can't really beat that combination.

The Barilla® Organic Pasta is made form certified organic wheat, with NO GMO INGREDIENTS, and it cooks up perfectly al dente for delicious taste. I found 6 packs of Barilla® Organic Penne and Spaghetti at BJ's, so that was pretty awesome.
I created this Chicken Cacciatore Bake Recipe as a little help to my sister and brother in law, who recently had twins - when I say "recently," I mean two weeks ago! They need all of the help they can get, so we are all pitching in with meals and help for the babies. I have been sick lately, so I can't help with the babies, but I sure can cook!

Chicken Cacciatore Bake Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 lbs shredded COOKED chicken
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 red bell pepper
- 2 cups of mushrooms quartered
- 1 can of of tomato sauce 16 ounces
- 1 15 ounce can of diced tomatoes with green chiles
- 1 teaspoon of italian seasonings
- 1 teaspoon of garlic salt
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 cup of mozzarella cheese
- 1 box of Barilla® Organic Penne Pasta
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Saute the veggies in olive oil over medium heat for about 15 minutes, until totally tender.
- Add all of the remaining ingredients and reduce to a simmer, stirring occasionally for about 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions.
- Once the pasta is cooked, drain and add both the simmering sauce and the pasta to a 9x11 casserole dish and stir the mozzarella cheese in.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
