This Edible Sugar Cookie Dough is utterly delicious and very easy to make. But be warned that it doesn't make a ton! I'd certainly double this recipe if you happen to take it anywhere during this summer's upcoming patriotic holidays.

What Is Edible Sugar Cookie Dough?

Just like it sounds, this is cookie dough that you can eat without cooking it first! It's basically cookie dough without raw eggs. This recipe makes edible sugar cookie dough that is decorated with patriotic red, white, and blue sprinkles.

Why You'll Love Edible Sugar Cookie Dough

This Edible Sugar Cookie Dough is super fun and will be a great addition to the dessert table at all of your summer picnics and barbecues!

It tastes amazing when you eat it by the spoonful. Or, you can serve it to guests like a thick pudding or ice cream.

This recipe is one of my favorites because it takes just 20 minutes to make! I baked the flour to kill any bacteria that might be lurking on it, but other than that, there is no baking involved.

This Edible Sugar Cookie Dough recipe makes about ¾ cup when all is said and done and that's easy to eat on your own!

How to Make this Patriotic Edible Sugar Cookie Dough

Please note: ¼ cup of sprinkles means it's VERY full of sprinkles! Looks great but is less doughy than normal cookie dough. So If you don't like it that way, I'd use two tablespoons of sprinkles.

Can I make this Easy 4th of July dessert Recipe ahead of time?

You can bake up this easy Edible Sugar Cookie Dough Recipe and store it in your fridge or an air tight sealed container for up to 3 days before they get too stale - and hard!

You can also make them ahead of time and freeze them, just make sure that you take them out to defrost at least 24 hours before you intent to serve them. No one wants a Patriotic Edible Cookie Dough that is frozen in the middle! There is no fun in that...
